My name is Salma, I was born and raised in El Paso, TX proudly born to two hard working immigrant parents from Mexico and Palestine. I am a Sociology graduate student at UTEP researching birth control accessibility and a fur-baby mom to the most poorly behaved gato 😸 in El Paso.
PurseFind was founded in April 2020, yes, I had the crazy idea of starting a business during a pandemic. PurseFind happened while I was at home, quarantining after my workplace shut down for a month, wondering what was going to happen to my financial stability and future endeavors; I had an itch and felt that I had to take the risk and look for other opportunities. With the few dollars I had saved for college, I took the risk and invested in my first small box of handbags hoping people would be inclined to purchase them.
Why handbags? Quite frankly, I just like handbags, but can't stand bumping into a cute purse only to find out it's way out of my budget!
PurseFind's goal is to offer truly cute, fashionable and unique handbags without having to pay such a high price for them. Looking good doesn't have to be so expensive.
PurseFind's mission is to give back to the community. Although PurseFind is only a couple months old, it has been able to contribute to various local organizations and only hopes to continue to grow to be able to continue to give.
Furthermore, I understand the carbon footprint it takes to run a business, which is why I try my best to be green. Our shipping is eco-friendly as we only use or reuse recycled shipping materials, plus all purses are faux leather, with some selections being officially vegan & Peta approved.
